Dear Colleagues,

Organized by the Working Group for Interventional Cardiology of the Cardiology Society of Serbia, the 18th  BASICS+ congress will be held from April 24 to 26, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel in Novi Sad.

Innovations in knowledge, exchange of experiences, involvement, and application of the newest technical and technological solutions during this type of Congress enable outstanding results in the treatment of patients while simultaneously keeping pace with the modern trends in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, and cardiovascular therapy in Europe, as well as in the region, where Serbian cardiology was often the leader.

We will undoubtedly make the maximum effort to improve and modernize the design and quality of the Congress, which indeed represents one of the best brands of Serbian cardiology.

The topics of the Congress will be acute coronary syndrome, chronic coronary syndrome, treatment of bifurcation lesions, chronic total occlusions, calcified lesions, intravascular imaging, coronary physiology, resistant hypertension and renal denervation,  cardiovascular imaging and invasive treatment of structural heart diseases, treatment of heart failure with special reference to mechanical circulatory support and cardiovascular prevention and pharmacotherapy. The latest developments in the field of arrhythmology, such as pacemakers and interventional electrophysiology, will also be presented.

Live broadcasts of interventional procedures performed by experts from the country and abroad are planned in 4 Cath Labs (Clinic for Cardiology of the CCS, Institute of CVD "Dedinje", Institute of CVD Vojvodina  Sremska Kamenica and Cardiology Clinic CC Niš) during the morning and afternoon sessions on April 22 and 23, 2024. Workshops on cardiovascular imaging are also planned.
